Come take a walk with us through Santa Luzia, Barril Beach and the Anchor Cemetary.

Santa Luzia is a traditional Portuguese fishing village, in the heart of the Algarve, only a few km's from Tavira. It is known as the Octopus Capital of the Algarve. The fishermen use an old traditional way called Alcatraz to catch the Octopi. Octopus is served as a delicacy by many restaurants in Santa Luzia. Come see our reviews on our first octopus tasting.

Barril beach is known for the Anchor Cemetary which is to commemorate the bygone Tuna industry.
