Today we invite you for a beautiful walking tour to Omodos Village in the Troodos in Cyprus.
The mountain village of Omodos is located in the Limassol district, just 80 kilometers from Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. The village is located among the high Troodos mountains and has long been famous for its vineyards and orchards.

This village is famous for its wine, the production of which is the main occupation of the locals. Every year in August, a wine festival is held in Omodos, where you can taste this alcoholic drink made by the best local winemakers and try traditional national dishes, participate in competitions and various entertainments.

One of the main attractions of the village is the beautiful stone church of the Holy Cross, built in 337, then it was part of a large monastery. It is considered one of the holiest places in Cyprus, as there is a fragment of the rope with which Jesus Christ was tied to the cross, as well as the relics of many saints.

There are also several museums in the village, including the traditional wine museum, the museum of Byzantine icons and the Museum of Folk Art.
