A Ilha Deserta é uma extensa ilha-barreira da Ria Formosa com mais de dez quilómetros de finas areias brancas e um mar imenso, o nome oficial é Ilha da Barreta, mas é conhecida como Ilha Deserta e é o território mais a sul de Portugal continental.
Para se chegar a este local único é preciso apanhar um barco no Cais da Porta Nova, em Faro. A viagem dura 35 minutos

The Desert Island is a long barrier island of Ria Formosa with more than ten kilometers of fine white sand and an immense sea, the official name is Ilha da Barreta, but is known as Desert Island and is the territory further south of mainland Portugal .
To get to this unique place you need to take a boat in New Port Wharf in Faro. The trip lasts 35 minutes
