Situated on the coastline of Porches parish, in the Algarve, Praia Nova has a long sandy beach.

Access is by a staircase in a recess of the cliff, in the central area of the beach. This beach is sheltered by cliffs, with special interest to the east cliff where the Fort and the Chapel of Our Lady of the Rock are found. In this same cliff, there is a tunnel excavated in the rock that connects this beach with the Praia da Senhora da Rocha, commonly called "Fisherman's Beach".
