Day 12 & 13: Cycle Touring with Kids in Alto Minho, Portugal, July 2019

Day 12 and 13: The last days of our adventure!
We still got to enjoy most of the day in "Quinta dos Pentieiros" and did more Tree Climbing. This time I also took part in the fun!
At around 17:30 we left to Viana do Castelo, where some friend were waiting for us to dine and to host us (thank you!). This time we tried the south margin of the "River Lima", having to cross the river twice and thus doing more mileage (32 kms). I prefer the north margin, now that I have tried both alternatives. We still arrived on time for dinner with our friends and the kids played on the historical old streets of Viana do Castelo.
On the next and final day we still spent the morning with our friends, riding around the city and in the afternoon we got on the train back to Lisbon with our bikes, putting and end to our cycle touring trip!

About this trip: A 13 days self supported cycle touring trip with my two kids (7 and 11), on the summer of 2019, in Alto Minho region, in the north of Portugal.

Accommodation: Wild Camping (x6), Camping Sites (x3), Youth Hostels (x2), Friends Home (1x).

Route: Lisbon / (train) / Viana do Castelo / Lagoas de Bertiandos / Arcos de Valdevez / Sistelo / Monção / Valença / Vila Nova de Cerveira / Vilar de Mouros / Paredes de Coura / Ponte da Barca / Ponte de Lima / Lagoas de Bertiandos / Viana do Castelo / (train) / Lisboa.
