Road to Almodovar CM1198 Portugal, find Pastelaria Boa Nova in a wee square in Almodova, get a small beer, a coffee and ham and cheese roll for about 3 euro 50, then head back on the N2 to Faro. I haired the bike from http://www.almotos.com/ limited to 600km for the 3 days (but I got an extra 50km as I took the front brake pads down to the metal and had to take the bike back for new pads), but they upped the mileage to 700km for 3 days the 2nd time I hire it. Also the roads are dead midweek, at weekends you get large groups of people on pushbikes.
