Can you believe that there are Catholic Churches that are built using skull and bones of Catholic Monks? I couldn't until I see this in person!!! This travel video features Igreja Do Carmo (Church of the Third Order of Our Lady of Monte do Carmo) and its Capela dos Ossos (Bone Chapel). This is a Historical Monument in Faro, Portugal and one of the main attractions in the Algarve region . The façade of the church in its Baroque architecture is a beautiful sight for the eyes. The macabre Capela dos Ossos is the main attraction of this. This Bone Chapel was inaugurated in 1816 and was made with bones of 1000 plus Carmelite friars. There are 1245 skulls used.
