On our mission to reach Porto today we stopped at the little town of Obidos. This town is surrounded by majestic walls protecting the settlement from invadors. While some parts date back to Roman times, it was primarily constructed by the Moors.

If you love a cute castle atmosphere away from the huge crowds we highly recommend Obidos. We didn't get a chance to roam around the shops or try the local Ginha but still thoroughly enjoyed it.

This wonderful day ended with a comfortable penthouse style room (definitely worth the 10 euro upgrade) near the beach in Figueira da Foz. The Portugal Boutique Hotel staff went above and beyond, setting a table for us to enjoy our delivery meal (only delivery available due to restrictions) and serving drinks. There was secure garage parking nearby. The staff topped it off by expediting the shipment with a computer charger we had forgotten in that lobby. Could not say enough good things about this place: https://www.tripadvisor.com.my/Hotel_Review-g189158-d239360-Reviews-Portugal_Boutique_Hotel-Lisbon_Lisbon_District_Central_Portugal.html
