"Albufeira Portugal 2022, Algarve walk tour 4K." was recorded in April of 2022.
The city of Albufeira, in the Algarve, has been inhabited since prehistoric times. It was an important fishing and port center according to evidence dating back to Neolithic and Bronze times.
Today, this city belonging to the district of Faro, in the Algarve, is full of life, attractive places to visit and approximately 30 kilometers of turquoise coastline.
Albufeira is one of the Portuguese towns that always stands out with the most beaches classified with the Blue Flag. Recognition that is made taking into account the quality of water, environmental conditions and facilities.
Its beaches are adorned with huge rocks and beautiful cliffs, the typical Algarve postcard.
In the historic center of Albufeira, where the old buildings with a Moorish air are still preserved, you will find shops of all kinds, restaurants and pedestrian streets that are very lively during the summer.
Nightlife has its biggest scene on the street known as “Rua dos Bares” or “The Strip” (there are many English expats in this area). Here, a wide variety of bars and clubs welcome with their neon signs those who want to go clubbing after spending the day on the beach.
In addition to beaches and activities related to the sea, in Albufeira you can get other entertainment such as Jeep Safari through the interior of the Algarve or water parks.
Albufeira has a beautiful and modern marina from which many tours and walks along the coast depart.
From here you can go out to explore the caves and cliffs in quiet or high-speed boats, see the dolphins, take a ride with a barbecue on board or a catamaran with a disco atmosphere very popular with the youngest.
It has some cafes where you can sit and wait for your ride and some attractions for children such as pedal car rentals.
Olhos d'Agua is a small town that is part of Albufeira. Its two most famous beaches are Praia da Falesia and the beach that bears the same name, Olhos de Agua.
A very special phenomenon of nature occurs on the beach of Olhos de Agua. When the tide goes out, the Olheiros de Água Doce that are on the shore, begin to bubble and fill with fresh water that flows from the sand.
In Olhos de Agua there are accommodations, shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. A good option in the area, as it is very busy but perhaps a bit quieter than the center of Albufeira and its very popular nightlife.
