Portugal loves their medieval festivals but in Santa Maria de Feira, located south of Porto, is the largest reenactment of its kind in Europe. It is full of acts, foods, drinks, things to buy, and activities to experience.

Step inside this old city with Josh and Kalie from ExpatsEverywhere (and Valencia, their 3 year old daughter) to see what it's like. Is it worth the money? Is it worth a trip within Portugal or to Portugal from abroad? How much time do you need to spend there?

-Distance to the nearest town, Fornos de Algodres: 6 km (with several supermarkets, restaurants, gas station, pharmacy, dentist and many other shops).
-Less than a kilometer away from the land is the "Dolmen de Cortiço" (prehistoric megalithic construction).
-The valley is full of amazing neighbors of different nationalities. For those who like to keep up to date with various activities nearby (including weekly yoga classes, music events and other group gatherings), there is a Whatsapp group open to all newcomers.
